Courses After Class 10

There are 26 courses which a person is eligible to pursue after Class 10. They can get admission in all the affiliated Universities spread across the states of Delhi, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Punjab, Gujarat, etc. There are 3103 colleges that a student can take admission in spread throughout India.


ENGINEERING 

 

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering  

Duration - 3 years

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a course that is pursued after class 10. The course focuses on imparting professional specialisation in the field of designing. The course includes the application of laws of physics for design, analysis and manufacturing of mechanical systems.

Diploma in Civil Engineering 

Duration - 3 years

Diploma in Civil Engineering is a 3 year long course in engineering, specializing in the design, construction and maintenance of physical and naturally built environment, such as roads, bridges, canals, dams and building. The minimum eligibility criterion required for the candidates is to pass 10 with minimum of 50% marks.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Duration - 3 years

It is a 3year course which is designed to enhance skills. The curriculum is designed in such a way that students get to learn from the basic techniques to higher-level skills. It mainly focuses on the practical application of theoretical knowledge.

Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering

Duration - 3 years

Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering is a 3-4 year long professional course. The course can also be pursued after successful completion of the 10+2 level of education in the Science stream from a recognized educational board. ITI qualified students can also avail admission to the course's second year.


ARTS

 

Certificate Course in Functional English

Duration - 6 months

Certificate course in functional english is a full-time certification program which is for a duration of 6 months to 1 year as per the norms formulated by the institution. The eligibility criteria for the course is passing 10+2 examination or any equivalent qualification listed under a recognized board. The program qualifies the candidates in bettering their language skills and applying them in day to day workings.

Certificate Course in Spoken English

Duration - 1 year

Certificate Course in Spoken English is a basic level certification course in the area of application and usage of english language. Basically, the course is pursued by candidates after completing their 10+2 education however, various institutes offer this course to class 10 and graduation pass out students as well. The certificate program in spoken skills of english language is aimed at imparting basic knowledge and skills of the language to the students.


Diploma in Fine Arts

Duration - 3 years

Diploma in fine arts is a certificate level course in the domain of arts and its related areas. The course is pursued by candidates after completing their 10+2 education. Some institutes also offers these courses to 10 pass candidates based on their performance in the class 10 board examination.


Certificate in Hindi 

Duration - 1 year

Certificate in hindi is usually a 1 year certificate course, the least eligibility criteria is an Indian and other with no Hindi knowledge and the minimum age should be above 10 years old. Admission into the Certificate in Hindi is relying upon the aspirant's performance in the relevant entrance test and a counselling round.


DENTAL

 

Diploma in Dental Mechanics

Duration - 2 years

Diploma in Dental Mechanics is a 2 year long course. Eligibility to which is BDS/MBBS degree holders from a recognized institution. The admission for this course is based on the rank obtained in NEET.


MASS COMMUNICATIONS

 

Certificate in Animation

Durtion - 6 months

Certificate in animation is a short term specialization course in Animation. This certificate course is usually offered after class 10 or 12. The course duration is from 3 to 12 months, depending upon the institute. Admission to this course is generally based on marks secured in Class 10 or 12. However, some institution also conduct their own Group Discussion and Personal Interview for admission.
